 I have also been experimenting with brushing the fabric with a wire brush to create a frayed worn effect on reverse applique samples.

A technique I further developed by combing it with cutting and slashing, and applying the fabric strips made from deconstructed shirts.

Whilst I was in the machine room I have been experimenting with the tailors tacking foot.

I have been experimenting with the surface quality of fabric and  am trying to develop ways in which to create signs of ageing on fabric.
